Hao Sheng, Professor and PhD Supervisor with the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Beihang University, National Leading Talents of Science and Technology Innovation, IET Fellow. Prof. Sheng serves as a Responsible Expert for National Key Research and Development Program of China “Key Technology and Demonstration of the Internet of Thing and Smart City” Expert Committee, and also heads National Key Research and Development Program of China, project of Major Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China, Key Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China. He is currently the joint leader of Big Data Technology Special Group of China National Information Technology Standardization Network, part-time PhD Supervisor at Macao Polytechnic University, the deputy director of Natural Computing and Digital Intelligent City Committee of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, the secretary general of Man-machine Integration Intelligence Committee of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence.
In alignment with Digital China Strategy and focusing on cross-modal group behavior understanding, Prof. Sheng has pioneered key technologies in multi-modal fusion computing, spatio-temporal dynamic cognition, and group evolution modeling. His research output includes 65 first- or corresponding-author papers in CCF-A or JCR Q1 journals (5 ESI hot papers and 11 ESI highly cited papers), 42 China's Invention Patents, 13 National Standards of the People's Republic of China, 5 authored books. He also has been selected in the list of World's Top 2% Scientists in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Prof. Sheng has awarded 7 provincial/ministerial-level or first-level association prizes as well as 3 international competition prizes, including the First Prize of Ministry of Education’s Technological Invention Award, the First Prize of the China Technology Market Association’s Golden Bridge Award, the Grand Prize of National Educational Information Technology Application Innovation Competition, and the Gold Medal of International Invention and Innovation Expo.
